Some are honest about what you are getting and they are making an honest effort to give you a good flying experience on a flight. On the other hand, some are hurting for money so badly that they are charging outrageous fees of which you may not be aware of when you are quoted your plane ticket prices. What you want to know is if your plane ticket prices include everything. Some airlines will change you for each bag that you have checked. That can be a high price if you are a family of four going on a long vacation. If you pay fifty bucks a bag, think about what that could add up to. If you are already paying a lot for your seats, this may make your vacation too expensive. Make sure you ask up front if there are any fees or baggage. Some companies charge you and some do not. A new problem that some consumers have come across is that they suddenly have to pay for meals, snacks, and drinks that have always been included in the price of the flight. They may have had a meal just the week before and they are suddenly asked to pay more above the price of their plane ticket prices for the same meal. Some airlines are now charging for things that use to be include simply because they are looking for ways to make more money. They should tell you this up front, but it could not hurt to ask just so you are sure.

Some airlines are making a point of letting you know that they are not charging any unusual fees above and beyond what you are going to be paying for your plane ticket prices. Others are not quite as forth coming. So as a consumer it is your job to find out what the best ranked airlines are and which ones are offering the best total deals without hidden fees before you decide which price is the best. You may get a great deal on a ticket, but then find you spend twice as much on fees after the fact. Do your homework so you truly find the best price going, then shop online for the best deal you can find.
